Annotation

This paper asserts that the visual literacy (VL) evaluation in grade 12 home language examination papers in six dominant languages – Afrikaans, English, Sesotho, Sepedi, isiXhosa and isiZulu – for 2009, 2010 and 2011, lacks equivalence and requires reckoning with other important dynamics.
