Annotation

The 2008 National Annenberg Election Survey data suggest that (a) trying to convince one another adds to people’s skills to argue in support of both their own favorite candidate and its rival, and (b) persuasive discussion is an effective mode for the diffusion of political information from the more to the less motivated.
