Annotation

Hong Kong secondary classroom students' chief source of English exposure is the English pronunciation of both English language and content-area teachers in English-medium lessons, who share several Hong Kong English (HKE) features yet in diverging ratio's. This article concentrates on the educated HKE vowel and consonant characteristics and favors an internationally comprehensible endonormative model in a globalised world.
