An attempt to explain 'coordinative linking' as a process of an ordered introducing of semantic connections within and between sentences. Coordinative linkage is seen as the result of the cooperaton of 3 factors, viz. (i) the meaning of the conjuncts (level of conceptual and referential semantics of the propositions), (ii) the relations between the meanings of the conjuncts (level of logical relations between the propositions), and (iii) the meaning of the conjunctions (the 'operative meaning').
