In line with the Language Socialization method, this study examines how Japanese children word their acceptance of caregivers' object requests. By engaging in these object request sequences, Japanese caregivers made mutual communication more efficient, set and altered their activity frame, and negotiated the (re)construction of Japanese culture's apt morality.
