Annotation

This study distinguishes the inventory of interjections used in the trial records of the Old Bailey Corpus (1720–1913), examines their functions, and the degree to which they reveal change between Early Modern English, as described by Culpeper and Kytö (2010), and Modern English as rendered in the later parts of The Old Bailey Corpus.
