Drawing on a corpus of naturally recorded oral narratives on migrants, gathered in various northern Italian historical cafés, this paper examines how managers redefine both their individual and business identities in these narratives. It especially explores the different stances they adopt to construct their corporate identity, regarding the defiant Italian political climate with respect to migratory politics.
