Since 2007, publicly-financed Hebrew language charter schools instructing Modern Hebrew to religiously, linguistically, and culturally distinct students, have appeared in cities across the U.S. Concerns about communal (re)production are traceable via the diffused media discourses on Hebrew charters and learning and on language ownership.
