This study employs conversation analysis to explore when Vietnamese speakers expressly note or drop the source of represented talk or thought (RT) in dyadic and multiparty family conversations. The findings add to modern comprehension of source marking via linguistic tools as an interactional practice in conversations in addition to other resources like voicing and embodied actions.
