Annotation

This study explores facets of linguistic conduct, attitudes and professional practices (like adjustment to clients’ language varieties and metalinguistic talk) amongst a group of “expert users” who are translators or interpreters for (one, two or three of the next languages:) Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. Their described conduct and practices are probably representative of “lay speakers” and marketplace demands, and thus mirroring genuine language use amidst users of these three languages when communicating with one another.
