Annotation

This paper debates how multilingual stylization elucidates the role of authenticity as progressively apposite concept in sociolinguistics. It proposes a stylization continuum that puts mocking on one end (to hint at stylization that induces insult) and style on the other (to render acts of identity), whilst leaving open the feasibility that all stylization acts can lastly be grasped as identity acts, assuming the right framings and speaker stances.
