Annotation

Drawing on sociolinguistics of mobility and translanguaging concepts, this paper debates how classic language lines in student interactions from five Johannesburg townships, have been replaced by a hybrid variety, referred to as kasi-taal. There is also a high level of mutual understanding between Sotho and Nguni language clusters.
