Annotation

This paper discusses the manifold and conflictive opinions about identity of Japanese ethnic church members residing in Canada, in terms of how they represent themselves as being “Japanese” and “Christian” to different levels. Their English language acquisition may affect the medium (language)-message (Christianity) link (cfr. Woods 2004).
