This paper discusses how in the light of the recent call for ‘1 Malaysia’, a small gathered group of ethnically and religiously distinct Malaysians, employ metadiscourse as part of a narrative to represent oneself or the other in debating Malaysia's ethnopolitically conflictuous situation.
