Annotation

Irish District Court judges' biased beliefs (by nuclear family idealisation) on custody arrangements in domestic abuse cases, let them to normalise or minimize abusive parents’ conduct, and even pathologise via talk mothers disagreeing with (alleged violent) child-father contact, which made domestic violence inapposite to child charge and visit rights. Judicial training and other systems ought to be installed to ease judges' decision-making process in this very discretionary and intricate legal domain.
