This paper presents a critical and multimodal discourse inquiry of texts in the context of the novel German discourse project ‘30 young people talk to dying people and their relatives’, a university enterprise inciting youth to cultivate a clear attitude about death. It examines how in diverse text forms, the concepts of ‘dying’ and ‘death’ are fresh and otherwise established and how novel kinds of sociocultural practices appear.
