Annotation

Using a corpus of 24 televised interactions in which “sexism” was clearly topicalized regarding Clinton’s 2007-2008 U.S. democratic nomination campaign, this paper renders how interviewers react to participants’ claims of “sexist” dealings with Clinton in both her periods as front-runner and loser. It discloses ways in which mainstream media may infirm the validity of “sexist” claims.
