Annotation

This paper reports on the spontaneous language employed to render counterstereotypic versus stereotypic descriptions of Romanians (Study 1) and manifold versus single categorizations of immigrants (Study 2). Counterstereotypic and plural categorization of very discriminated targets lowered the abstraction degree of negative terms, thus decreasing out-group linguistic prejudice.
