Annotation

Anglo American politicians mainly employ implicit rhetorical devices to elicit audience assent as shown in 11 speeches by Obama and Romney in the 2012 U.S. presidential elections. In these speeches, a significant positive correlation emerges between audience assent rate and electoral success.
