Annotation

Doctors' descriptions of futile end of life treatment (viz. without significant net gain), defended their own intergroup decisions via the language of logic, ethics, and respect. Patients, families, and out-group colleagues were featured in terms of desiring, and the latter rendered in very negative intergroup language.
