Annotation

Phonetic variation amid young 'new' Gaelic speakers from Glasgow and the Isle of Lewis who have acquired this minority language via immersion schooling as part of revival efforts, confirms that new speakers sound unalike 'traditional' ones, which is debated in terms of language contact, learning modes in revival conditions, and varying perceptions and ideologies on new speakers' Gaelic use .
