Exploring correlates of life satisfaction and psychological traits to grasp international students' adaptation in Ghana, English language proficiency unexpectedly appears linked to more psychological symptoms, a link partially moderated by discerned prejudice. General acculturation theory on exchange students within the Ghanaian cultural context is used to debate the findings.
