Annotation

This inquiry debates three studies that collated the impact of other- and self-mock humor on the spectator and explores how they connect to Martineau’s theory (on social functions of dispraise humor). Those who preceived other-mock -compared to self-mock or a neutral condition- appeared more complying and more scared of miscarrying. Discerning self-mock ends in higher creativity degrees as compared to the other-mock condition.
