It is argued -via self-report- that the Humor Styles Questionnaire's scales only partly coincide with and render the original conceptualizations (i.e., the definitions and construct descriptions) of the four humor styles as drafted by Martin et al. (2003), viz. Affiliative, self-reinforcing, self-destructive and aggressive.
