Annotation

Politeness and pragmatic variation in request production in Senegalese French are effected by the usually to formal setttings (like schools and government institutions) restricted French use, with Wolof acting as lingua franca in informal contexts. Findings are debated in light of pragmalinguistic variation, covering address form variation, request variants, and internal modification.
