Annotation
Throughout the USA, educational leaders and policy-makers currently fight to evolve language programs and clarify multilingualist profits, as exemplified by the elaboration of a primary language immersion school in a mainly monolingual city. The bulk of leaders and various parents esteemed multilingualism as a prerogative and resource for all students, whilst parents also underscored the interest of language as identity marker, and for having quality academics and safe, solid schooling. In other words, cultural scripts outside those on multilingualism molded the realization of – and parents' preferences for – language schools.
