Thai language planning efforts consider to introduce a mother tongue (MT) (Isan) curriculum for the Thai Lao, Thailand's largest ethnolinguistic minority, as subject in the formal curriculum as part of a multilingual education. According to survey results this is considered as positive, particularly for the revival of a community script, Tai Noi.
