This study centers on Polish L3 metaphonological awareness (*). It considers the role of attention and noticing in input processing. Analyzed from a multilingual viewpoint, the construct (*) was shown to involve an interaction of meta- and cross-linguistic awareness and to be a key element of multilingual competence.
