Annotation

This paper explores the language learner strategies (LLS) of male and female, mono- and bilingual Chinese as a foreign language students (age: 14) in a Spanish Confucius Institute (Canary Islands). Bilingual students attain higher Young Chinese Test (YCT) academic scores, with the use of efficient strategies and an enhanced use of LLS in girls.
