Annotation

It was found that the uniformity of concurrent instruction in French first language (L1) and English second language (L2) reading strategies in an intensive English L2 programme in Quebec, Canada, reinforced learner awareness and independent use of reading strategies. Reading strategies offered a structure for reflecting instruction across languages. However, for cross-curricular cooperation, teachers require time, materials, and administrative help.
