Annotation

This study uses a transglossic framework, based on Bakhtin's heteroglossic and Pennycook's transgressive approaches, to explore four series of on/offline language practices derived from two large ethnographic projects in Bangladesh and Mongolia and elucidate how young adults reuse linguistic and cultural aspects from popular culture and apply a variety of semiotic resources for their communicative goals.
