Annotation

The more polyglot Australia has got, the more assimilationist its policies, and the more monolingual-English aligned the society that governments have tried to build via policy.To increase literacy results by and large, this orientation must be inversed. It is argued that policy comprehension and approach have to foster home languages' preservation and help literacy learning in these languages.
