Annotation

It is argued that children aged 9 of Moroccan Arabic (MA) descent, utilize im- and explicit knowledge of already acquired writing systems, i.e. especially orthography in French, their schooling language, and (their confined ability in) Standard Arabic literacy practices in the home, for writing in their vernacular family language, Moroccan Arabic, not generally employed for written ends.
