This study examines how intercultural communicative ability and global citizenship are connected and how these notions are involved in South Korean short-term English immersion camps. It is argued that criticality, focusing on surmounting stereotypes, grasping otherness, and acquiring a deeper comprehension of one's own cultural values, could better train learners for the globalized world.
