The language employed in the intercultural urban policy rhetoric (cfr. 2008 EU initiative) proposes the urban coexistence of diverse cultures as a tricky and ambivalent matter. This challenges the policy's basic principle, which intends a co-operative and positive meeting of people in an urban setting.
