This paper explores the resemioticization of Hebrew as heritage language when disconnected from its classic communal context and remodeled into a public language, concretely in the Columbian Sela Public Charter School, in which a new bilingual education form shuns identity, rights, and heritage talk and in a community online forum, atttributing various and conflicting meanings to Hebrew.
