Annotation

This paper developed two conceptual models to render how cultural identification impacts language learning as presumed in diverse theories on identity and L2 acquisition and tested them in the Hong Kong immigration context. Bicultural orientation appears the most favorable for learning Chinese, by influencing psychosocial well-being and involvement with the target language and community.
