This mixed methods sociological analysis shows persistent intergenerational rendition of Chinese Heritage Language via diverse forms of family implantation in young Chinese Australians. Learners' passage from opposition to dedication here receives a Bourdieusian elucidation, that reads the passage as ‘habitus realisation’.
