This paper explores how events are verbally detailed in daily and institutional storytelling episodes, and how the observed actions are enacted by participants. How something is both described and (re)enacted has main implications for storytelling and world-around-us knowledge. Questions concerning the notion of ‘direct reported actions’ are also reflected on.
