This study shows how a digital multimodal discourse approach (DMDA) eases the identification of crucial multimodal systems employed for meaning-making in online communication, how meaning grows via junictions of semiotic (not individual) choices, and how the results of DMDA can unveil broader sociocultural patterns – in this case, different leadership styles as reflected in the online (video text) leadership discourse of an Australian university.
