Annotation

This discourse analysis of over 1500 publicly posted comments ensuing the multilingual Coca-Cola ‘It’s Beautiful’ commercial, broadcast on 2 February 2014 across the US, reveals that 1/3 of respondents debated immigrant groups in mostly negative ways, indicating that anti-immigrant feelings last and perhaps are reinforced amid population segments. The Model of Normalized Hate Speech is proposed to foster future study.
