Annotation

This study explores mechanisms underlying cultural variations in advice giving between American and Chinese college students by adopting a belief framework defined by the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), which shows greater power to reveal finer-grained cultural disparities in advice giving as a type of support provision.
