Annotation

The ideological diversity of entextualization of Lahu -a Tibeto-Burman language-without-writing-, profits from considering it within a specific historical-ecological setting. This paper also tracks the significant impact of the symptom of "proprietary orthographies" on Lahu language literacy practices. Orthographies appear to have an intricate kind of indexicality in this region.
