Annotation
Mutual Exclusivity (ME) is a leading restriction in language acquisition. But how does developing experience of multiple-to-one word-meaning mappings in bilingual children's milieu influences their grasp of when to employ ME and when to receive lexical overlap? It is suggested that pliant ME use is thus molded by pragmatic information extant in every communicative interaction and children's personal linguistic encounter.
