Annotation
This code-switching study examines the role of phonological features across words, opposing words with and without phonological overlap (here: of the first two phonemes). The switch cost asymmetry appears affected by phonological overlap (PhO), chiefly given lasting PhO after-effects, which invert the asymmetrical switch cost pattern in the following inquiry. It is thus suggested that words' phonological features play a significant role in language control.
