Annotation

This study shows how therapists in couples therapy use a form of reported speech called proxy voicing ( Seedall and Butler, 2006), meant as a kind of embedded instruction in the form of a demonstration (in a Jeffersonian sense), offering both chances and resources for clients to start off learning's work (Zemel, 2014) under the therapist’s check, whilst discharging the client of an explanation for what the therapist regards a therapeutic problem of capacity or behaviour.
