Annotation

Agreements with assessments in Cantonese are compared with Japanese and English. Word order and ellipsis appear major resources in Cantonese to construct strong agreements. Agreements in Cantonese often suppose predicate-only and -initial structures, two syntactic formats focused upon in this study. Agreements in Cantonese exhibit more resemblances with Japanese than with English.
