Annotation

It is claimed that interpreting an assertion in a declarative sentence doesn't need representation of the explicit content. Jary (2013)'s division between material and behavioural implicatures is argued to better account for some phenomena focused on by supposed tests for explicit utterance content, and to supply a principled footing for the distinction between two pragmatic processing planes.
