Annotation

This perception study debates how the two studied groups of Greek Cypriot L2 university students and English NS lecturers differently perceive and assess some L2 straight and unaltered student emails to faculty and student personality. NS lecturers considered the same email as significantly more bluff, less polite and as not correctly recognizing the implied bother, and evaluated the sender's personality significantly less positively. This entails negative implications for L2 learners as social actors who need to be capable to employ and comprehend language fitly to engender lucky interpersonal relationships.
