Annotation

This paper reveals that news stories' formulaic intertexts (disrupted formulaic expressions) across 6 English newspapers -the Manchester Evening News, The New York Times, The NY Times International Weekly, the Gulf Daily News, the Telegraph (Calcutta), and the China Post- adapt to different pragmatic contexts.
